Camp Icebreaker Activity: Bus Stop
Purpose

The “Bus Stop” icebreaker helps campers get to know each other and find common interests.

Supplies Needed

Rope, cones, or sticks from nature.

Instructions

Campers line up in a straight line between the two ropes. These lines/rope represent the two different buses at the bus stop. The counselor will call out a pair of words like day/night, tv/books, cat/dog, ocean/pool, winter/summer, etc. If a camper agrees with the first statement they’ll jump across the left rope. If a camper agrees with the second statement they’ll jump across the right rope. Campers will have to decide within two seconds of the word pair being called out.

Tips

Get creative and specific with the word pairs.
